  5. Ch'ing Dynasty
  6.      This cylindrical-shaped 
  7. vessel is shaped and jointed 
  8. like a length of bamboo.  The 
  9. area between the joints, the 
  10. straight  flange  along the 
  11. back  and  the  rim  of  the 
  12. mouth are gilded with coiled 
  13. flower-stem motifs, and inlaid 
  14. with turquoise, coral and
  15. lapis lazuli.  The reserves 
  16. around the outer wall are 
  17. decorated with flower and 
  18. bird scenes, landscapes and 
  19. figures painted in enamel 
  20. colors.
